Sarah Bauer Band
The Sarah Bauer Band closed out Friday night in front of a packed house. It was such a blast, taking photos of the band perform with such a rich back drop and getting familiar with my relatively new 50 mm lens. In addition to the outstanding musical entertainment, the stage was full of props from years gone by and the balcony offered fun angles to shoot. For some of my favorites, I’ve highlighted them in my Sarah Bauer Band Project photos.
A Little Venue History
Little Bear is a music venue located in the town of Evergreen, Colorado. The venue has a rich history dating back to the 1920s, when it was established as a general store and post office.
In the 1940s, the building was transformed into a tavern and restaurant, which became a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. It was during this time that the venue began to host live music performances, featuring a variety of genres such as country, bluegrass, and rock and roll.
In the 1970s, the venue was purchased by a new owner, who continued to expand its reputation as a premier music destination. The Little Bear became known for hosting legendary acts such as Willie Nelson, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and The Charlie Daniels Band.
Over the years, the venue has changed hands several times, but its legacy as a beloved Colorado music spot has remained. Today, Little Bear continues to host a wide range of musical acts, and is considered an important part of the state’s music scene.
